Writing a Cover Letter for a Virtual Call Center Job (cont.)

All of the formatting rules provided with regard to your resume apply to your cover letter too. Review these rules if needed when writing your cover letter.

Be sure you spell-check and proof read your cover letter. Again, spelling and grammar mistakes are not going to lead to a job.

Tip: Your cover letter, or an abbreviated version thereof, makes a great email message if it's your initial contact with the person you're sending it to. Be sure to attach your resume before sending the email.

You should prepare your cover letter in the same file formats you prepared your resume in.

Once your cover letter is ready, there's one final bit of preparation you should do prior to beginning your job search.

We cover that next in, "Prepare to Apply for Jobs Online".
