VoiceLog was established in 1996 and provides Third Party Verification (TPV) services to clients in the cable, energy, financial services, healthcare and telecommunications industries. VoiceLog has over 250 clients in the United States, Canada and Europe.

Work At Home Jobs

VoiceLog employs work at home agents titled "Live Operators". Live Operators receive inbound calls for third party verification purposes. Home based agents are treated as independent contractors versus regular W-2 employees.

Requirements

At least 1 year of customer service experience (inbound or outbound call center).
Quiet home office setting.
Personal computer running Microsoft 2000, Microsoft XP or MAC.
At least 1 Gigabyte of RAM is required.
CPU (processor) of at least a Pentium 4 1.6 GHz or higher.
Internet Explorer 6.0.
Microsoft Word, Excel and a working printer.
Paid e-mail provider that allows enough space to receive fairly large documents.
Reliable DSL or Cable HIGH SPEED Internet access (dialup or satellite not acceptable).
Current anti-virus software and Ad-Ware software.
AOL Instant Messenger account.
A second phone line (already installed) dedicated to accepting inbound calls, with no features (no VOIP, no digital phone, no call waiting, voicemail etc.).

Benefits

Work From Home.
Flexible Scheduling. You get to choose what hours you would like to work and if VoiceLog has the customer need, you'll get scheduled. Shifts are available from 8am EST to Midnight EST Monday-Friday and every other weekend. You can choose to work shifts of 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 hours.
No selling or up-sells. VoiceLog provides live verification services and there is no selling involved. All of the calls are inbound. Just follow the script, gather the correct information and verify the call.
No Upfront or Hidden Costs. Meet all of the requirements, make time for the training and you'll be up and running in no time (there may be long distance charges associated with training).
Personal Training. Have your questions answered in real time. VoiceLog offers training in a small group format with experienced trainers. Training is combined with call simulations so when you’re ready to go, you’re ready to go.

Compensation

Starting wages are $8.50 per hour for English only agents and $9.00 per hour for bilingual agents. No information was available at the time of publication regarding starting wages for Spanish only agents.

Aside from the tax implications of operating as an independent contractor, you may also incur additional expenses such as workman's comp and general liability insurance.
