Third Party
Verification Explained
Definition of Third Party Verification
Third Party Verification
is the process of getting an independent third party to
confirm that a customer is actually ordering a new product
or service, such as switching long distance carriers. For
certain types of transactions it is required by the
Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Verification can
be made via live agent or recording.
Example of Third Party
Verification
XYZ company has contacted
a prospective new customer about changing their long
distance carrier. The customer has agreed to switch. XYZ
company's agent then transfers the call to another agent
at ABC company for verification. In this example ABC
company is providing the Third Party Verification service.
Third Party
Verification Agents
As an agent working for a
company providing third party verification services you
are engaged in the process of receiving inbound calls, initiating outbound calls
or reviewing recordings for
the purpose of verifying that the prospective customer actually wishes
to complete the transaction. |
