There they Grow
Again: Virtual Call Center NEW plans 480 Jobs for
Albany, GA
National Electronic Warranty
(NEW) has announced it has chosen Albany Georgia as the
next location to be part of the company's rapid expansion,
with plans to bring 480 new work-at-home jobs to the south
Georgia area. The company provides outsourced customer
service to such companies as DirecTV, and handled 16
million calls last year.
As with similar
announcements made recently by the company in Watertown
New York, Tyler Texas and Wichita Falls Texas, NEW will
begin by hiring 120 virtual call center agents to work
from home this year, with plans to expand to 480 agents in
the next four years.
NEW employees
provide their own computer, a phone line, and high speed
internet access. In exchange they enjoy the many benefits
of working from home, including flexible hours and relief
from high gas prices and the costs associated with
commuting to work.
All NEW employees complete training in a classroom
setting, usually at a local community college. Class sizes
are limited to 20 people and training lasts for six weeks.
After one class is completed, they begin training 20 more.
The
company will begin hiring in Albany immediately. They'll
have representatives at hiring events Tuesday May 20th at
the Department of Labor Albany Career Center and a
separate job fair at the Hilton Garden Inn.
