Five9 Appoints New CEO
Five9, Inc.,
the leader in on-demand virtual call center software,
today announced the appointment of Mike Burkland as
President and Chief Executive Officer. Mike comes to Five9
with more than 11 years of experience as CEO for several
leading software companies, and will sustain Five9's
success as the company continues to gain market share in
the emerging on-demand call center software market.

A seasoned executive with a proven ability to drive growth
and bring strategic focus and operational excellence to
high growth technology companies, Burkland most recently
ran the Strategic Advisory Practice at ICN. ICN is the
leading firm in its field, specializing in providing
leadership and strategic advisory to high technology
companies. While at ICN, Burkland worked with multiple
companies to successfully execute corporate strategies and
operational improvements. In the 11 years prior to joining
ICN, Burkland was CEO of a handful of enterprise software
and SaaS companies in market segments ranging from systems
management and content management to security and CRM, and
has led three private companies through successful
acquisitions by larger public companies. He holds MBA and
BA degrees from the University of California at Berkeley.
