Job Description

CDS Global is currently seeking individuals to work from home as customer service representatives, answering inbound phone calls from magazine and product subscribers.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and interprets verbal customer inquiries and/or complaints by telephone and responds to customer verbally using PCs while performing searches/look-ups and account maintenance to customer accounts according to established departmental policy and work flow priorities.
  • Determines the best method to assist customer and resolve problems to ensure customer satisfaction, according to department guidelines and/or client specifications.
  • Continually performs and meets performance standards of the functions of this position.
  • Utilizes established vehicles to offer and promote magazine and product opportunities to customers when appropriate in order to achieve upsells and/or cross-sells according to established departmental policy.
  • Reads, interprets and maintains current information on client specific data by utilizing various resources including publisher screens, voice mail, memos and websites.
  • Displays friendly, courteous and professional behavior to customers.
  • Informs management of complaint trends, distribution problems and/or feedback from customers.
  • Adheres to CDS Global policies.
  • Follows all CDS Global ergonomic and safety policies.

Requirements

  • Candidates must live within 60 miles of CDS Global office in Boone, Iowa.
  • Must be able to attend 4-week training program within the CDS Global facility in Boone, Iowa.
  • Must have current Internet service provider with on-line high-speed Internet package. The minimum download speed required is 512 kbps. Candidates must provide proof of connection speed from Internet provider (such as a copy of invoice and/or letter from service provider) at the time of application.
  • Candidates must have a featureless land line phone for CDS equipment.
  • Must provide clean, ergonomic and noise-free environment in the home, during working hours.
  • Proficient verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Basic PC knowledge and skills.
  • Candidates must be able to type 20+ wpm (typing test will be given at the time of application).
  • Customer Service background or experience working with people preferred.
  • Post Offer/Pre-employment Health Screening & Background Check Required.
  • A set schedule will be determined within the following parameters and individuals availability.
    Saturday: 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday: 9am-11pm
  • Mandatory Training Options: (choose one)
    #7 October 20 - November 14 Monday - Friday Noon-7pm
    #8 October 27 - November 21 Monday - Friday 9:30am-4:30pm

Compensation

$10.75/hour to start.
