Jim McCann, founder and CEO of 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC., opened his first retail store in 1976 and successfully built his own chain of 14 flower shops in the New York metropolitan area. In 1986, he acquired the 1-800-FLOWERS phone number and continued to grow his business under the 1-800-FLOWERS name. McCann successfully expanded his business into other retail access channels-going online in 1992 and opening a web site in 1995. The company sells flowers and gifts through its website and by phone.

Work From Home Jobs

1-800-FLOWERS.COM hires temporary work from home customer service agents during peak periods of business such as Mother's Day and Valentines Day.

Requirements

You must be 18 years of age or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
Must be highly PC literate and have your own PC with a reliable high-speed Internet connection.
A dedicated land line telephone (conventional non-wireless telephone connection) for incoming calls.
Your computer system and home office setup must meet certain basic requirements which are posted on the company website.
The ability to type 35 words per minute is essential.
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Fundamental math skills required.
Prior call center experience strongly preferred.

Additionally, you must also be a resident of and live in one of the following states: Arizona, Florida, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Ohio, New York, Texas or Virginia.

Compensation

$9.00/hr + opportunity to earn incentive bonuses.
